I assume you are referring to the O-1 to EB-1 Green Card path. Current processing times are in the ballpark of 4 months for regular processing, but premium processing will give you an initial decision within 15 days for a fee of $1,225. Processing times for regular processing will vary based on the service center, time of year, etc but currently, budgeting about 6 months from filing to a decision is probably safe.
Government filing fees are $580 for the I-140 and $1,070 for the I-485 Adjustment of Status if filed concurrently.
According to recent USCIS update it is about 8 months now to receive an adjudication on O-1 visa. If you are doing it yourself (employer) you have to pay a filing fee only. But you absolutely have to have an employer who would petition for an individual with outstanding abilities.

The timing mentioned here by other posters is only considering the processing time at USCIS and have not factored in the time it will take to prepare an EB-1 petition, which is usually harder than an O-1 petition to prepare. Depending on the type of EB-1 petition, it can take anywhere from 1-4 months to prepare on average. The costs mentioned also don’t factor in Legal Fees. It is strongly recommended that if you plan on doing an EB-1 petition, obtain the assistance of a qualified attorney who has experience with EB-1 petitions.
